Following a stretch of inclement weather, we were thrilled to seize a window of opportunity to tackle the tall grass in the paddock using our trusty small tractor. While we typically allow the grass to flourish, particularly in the upper sections, periodic mowing offers a range of benefits that we can’t overlook.

One significant advantage is the containment of nettles, which tend to proliferate if left unchecked. Additionally, regular trimming promotes healthier grass growth and prevents weeds from encroaching on the landscape. Not to mention, it enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of the paddock and provides ample space for your furry companions to frolic freely. By prioritizing mowing on a consistent basis, we’re not just enhancing appearances – we’re also nurturing the paddock’s well-being and ensuring it remains a welcoming environment for all. We will of course leave the top section long as usual for our furry friends to explore.

However, amidst the progress, there was a noteworthy discovery – a plethora of new holes scattered throughout the area. Rest assured, I’ll be diligently addressing this issue in the coming days, filling in each one to maintain the paddock’s integrity and safety. Do please put out a green cone to mark a hole I may have missed.

Here’s to many more days of outdoor enjoyment and furry adventures!
