We wanted to make you aware of something very special above the open Downland at Ashdown Dog Paddock at this time of year. Have you heard the beautiful songs of skylarks while you’re out with your dogs? They’re incredible!
Skylarks are small birds with brown feathers and little tufts on their heads. They love to fly really high up in the sky, so high that you might not even see them. But you can definitely hear them singing their hearts out.
Their songs are like a mix of different sounds, all coming together to make a lovely melody. It’s almost like they’re putting on a concert just for us!
When you visit Ashdown Dog Paddock, take a moment to listen to the skylarks. Even though you can’t see them, their songs fill the air and make everything feel magical. It’s a special part of being out in nature.
