A few of our canine friends have really taken excavating seriously. At first, I thought that rabbits had invaded the paddock and started building a warren, but now it turned out to be the hard work of lots of paws. We scooped up a couple of tractor buckets of soil from the reserve pile and patched up the holes. The area behind the field shelter is a designated digging zone where dogs can dig till exhausted. However as dog owners ourselves we know how hard it can be to encourage a dog to dig in a particular area – they have a mind of their own when it comes to digging.
